Xperia Z Ultra Phablet Headed to UK Sept. 13
We still don’t know when Sony’s 6.4-inch Xperia Z Ultra will arrive in America, but the phablet is expected to to hit the UK market on September 13, according to British retailer Expansys. The massive device will steal Samsung’s claim to the biggest smartphone ever when it launches, retailing for £639.99 (about $975) with no contract.
Like its puny little brother, the Xperia Z Ultra is water, dust and sand resistant. It also boasts the first HD TRILUMINOS display along with X-Reality technology, which Sony claims will offer “the most immersive viewing experience imaginable.”
The Xperia Z Ultra comes equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800processor clocked at 2.2GHz, an 8-megapixel camera, a 3,000mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD slot, super-loud speakers, and runs on Android 4.2.2. It’s also boasts LTE connectivity, HD voice and a handful of Sony mobile apps.
