After countless leaks and teasers, the HTC One Mini is now official so we can finally look at its specs, features, release date and pricing.

Specs and features

Considering the numerous reports that have listed rumored specs for the new HTC One family member, we can’t say we’re surprised by what the phone will have to offer in terms of hardware.

When it comes to design, the phone looks pretty much like the device spotted in those leaked images we kept showing you. The HTC One Mini is made of aluminum (back plate) and polycarbonate (sides and front), and appears to look more or less like its bigger and more famous brother.

Before you ask, the battery is not user-replaceable and there’s no microSD slot here:

  • Size: 132 x 63.2 x 9.25mm
  • Weight: 122g
  • 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with 1280 x 720 resolution (341 ppi)
  • 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU
  • 1GB of DDR3
  • 16GB of storage but no microSD card
  • 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera with HTC Zoe support
  • 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera
  • LTE support
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • BoomSound support
  • Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 on top and BlinkFeed
  • 1800mAH non-removable battery

Release Date and Pricing

Without actually mentioning solid release dates, the company revealed that the handset will hit select markets in August, and will be rolled out globally in September. The phone will be available in Glacial Silver and Stealth Black.

HTC One Mini

A few days ago we heard the phone could hit the UK on August 9, although that release date is yet to be confirmed.

Pricing details will likely be unveiled in the coming weeks, as carriers prepare to launch the new handset – HTC did not mention the cost of an unlocked HTC One Mini at this time.

Moreover, the handset is likely to be available from AT&T later this year, at least according to leaked screenshots obtained by Android Police which seem to show a HTC One Mini test version running on the carrier’s 4G LTE network.
