Purple Galaxy Mega 6.3 now official from Samsung

Back in June there were hints that the two large-screened Samsung devices, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Mega 5.8, would come in a new color scheme: Plum Purple.

Today Samsung has come through on one of those predictions, as a purple-colored Galaxy Mega 6.3 has been spotted on Samsung's Hong Kong portal. Odds are that wider availability to other markets will follow suit.

No word on whether the younger sibling in the Mega lineup, the Mega 5.8, will also have a purple-colored variant as was hinted at initially. There's no trace of the device on the Hong Kong site.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 sports a 6.3-inch display of 720p resolution alongside a dual-core 1.7 GHz Krait processor, 8/16 GB of internal storage, and 1.5 GB of RAM. You can find out all you need to know about the Mega 6.3 in our full review, as well as our hands-on for the AT&T version in the US.
