As we told you a little earlier today, the mysterious LG V510 no longer seemed much like the rumored Nexus 8 we talked about on Monday, and the tablet instead was looking to be a Google Play Edition of the G Pad 8.3, the first-such tablet to take the honor. While the evidence was very strong, we still expected this one to remain unofficial for a little while longer, prior to going up for sale. As it turns out, however, this tablet has some serious momentum to it, and just a day after popping up on our radar, and hours after the picture becoming clear, the GPE LG G Pad 8.3 has landed in the Play Store… along with a few friends.

Right like we hoped, the GPE G Pad 8.3 is pretty affordable – only $350. That gets you a 1080p display, 16GB internal storage (micro SD expandable), 2GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 600 SoC.

While that’s the first GPE tablet, we also get the first GPE phablet – and this one’s a real surprise: Sony’s 6.4-inch Xperia Z Ultra gets a Play Edition of its own. The full HD smartphone runs a Snapdragon 800, has 16GB internal storage (again, with microSD expansion), and supports seven LTE bands for easy access to high-speed data. For all this, you’ll pay nearly $650.

As if all that wasn’t enough, we also get a new Nexus 7. This one’s a white variant of the tablet, only available in the 32GB WiFi-only configuration for about $270.

Not a bad spread at all, Google.
