With AnTuTu V12, we have optimized all four key test areas: CPU testing now better reflects real-world user behavior; GPU testing uses an optimized graphics-processing pipeline; MEM adds a dynamic latency stress test; and UX receives a comprehensive upgrade to its experience-testing suite.

By introducing new tests and upgrading existing ones, AnTuTu V12 offers a clearer view of real-world mobile-platform performance.

We have also given the AnTuTu V12 app a complete UI refresh, with more polished visuals and improved support for devices with different screen sizes and aspect ratios.

We have always believed that benchmark scores should be more than a good-looking number or a marketing tool for manufacturers. They should also give users a practical way to understand their phone’s performance.

AnTuTu V12 Update Notes

CPU Testing: Better Reflecting Everyday Use and Overall Performance

In everyday use, CPU workloads vary constantly. Higher clock speeds help keep the experience responsive, while lower clock speeds help control power consumption.

For its single-core and multi-core CPU tests, AnTuTu V12 has further refined the test models to better reflect everyday workloads and make the results more representative of day-to-day use.

MEM Testing: Stress-Testing Extreme Workloads for a More Complete Performance Assessment

MEM testing now includes a dynamic latency stress test that simulates extreme mixed-memory workloads and evaluates the system’s robustness under interference and its end-to-end stability.

We have further optimized the sequential and random read/write tests to remove the influence of unrelated factors on the results, giving a more faithful picture of the hardware’s limits. We also added memory-fragmentation tests for a more complete assessment of the device’s hardware capabilities.

Application-layer I/O has also been optimized to reflect real-world read/write efficiency more accurately.

UX Testing: Better Aligned with System Rendering for a Smoother Experience

We have comprehensively upgraded the existing test suite. The new algorithmic models more closely follow the system’s actual rendering and response behavior, so the scores more directly reflect perceived smoothness.

AnTuTu V12 also adds a new cooperative matrix test based on Vulkan Cooperative Matrix technology. It measures how effectively heterogeneous GPU compute units work together on matrix operations.

GPU Testing: More Realistic Visual Detail to Showcase Hardware Performance

AnTuTu V12 further optimizes the graphics-processing pipeline used to render complex scenes in its GPU tests.

Graphics-test scenes now feature more realistic detail, while elements such as shadows are rendered more softly, giving you a better sense of how the device handles high-end lighting and shadow effects.

The optimized graphics tests more closely match the performance demands of future high-end games, providing a more accurate view of real-world GPU behavior under heavy load.

UI and Experience Upgrades: A More Refined UI and Smoother User Experience

Alongside the test updates, AnTuTu V12 also brings a comprehensive refresh to its UI and overall smoothness.

AnTuTu V12 introduces a new UI design language. It retains the previous version’s core visual elements while simplifying them into a more modern, refined presentation.

The new UI is also optimized for large-screen devices such as tablets and large foldables. Its interaction model is better suited to larger displays and can show more information at a glance.

AnTuTu V12 also adds support for Android’s 16 KB page size, enabling more efficient memory management and a smoother user experience.

For reference, below are some V12 scores measured at a room temperature of 26°C ± 1°C, with battery level above 80% and display brightness fixed at 300 nits.

One final note:

Because AnTuTu V12 includes changes and optimizations to its test suite, scores for the same device will naturally differ from those recorded in AnTuTu V11.

Therefore, scores from different AnTuTu versions are not directly comparable.

As a public beta, this release may still have some issues. If you encounter a bug, please report it in the comments; we will work to address it as quickly as possible.
